Ahhhh! Creative Writing 2. Sounds fun right? I love writing. I actually do catch myself writing randomly quite often. I guess i like poems the most. A lot of people like poems that make you think. But honestly, i would much rather read or write a poem that just flat out says everything you need to know. No underlying meanings or hidden messages. Actually, I cannot stand when people over-analyze things. That makes me so mad! English class, especially British Literature, is very good for that. We read a book called Lord of the Flies. Now, I'm sure many people are familiar with the story. It's actually quite simple about a group of boys stranded on an island. I do not understand how they find so many biblical references and other underlying meanings. Im sure the author didn't think about all of this as he was writing the stupid story. Some bored 30 year old english teacher eating a hoagie on the couch in his parents' basement thought way too much into the story and came up with unnecessary conclusions. The author thought the idea was great and went along with it. That annoys me the most in all of english class.
